Henley Sculls Head 2023

@HenleyHeadRaces    #HenleySculls

Henley Sculls is scheduled to take place on

Saturday 11th November 2023.

8/11/23 - We are sorry to advise that following todays inspection, Henley Sculls 2023 is cancelled. The EA have advised that we are unlikely to be off Red boards before Saturday and more rain is forecast for Friday. With the current flow rate (123 m3/s reading guage) we are unable to move our rafts into position ahead of our event. There is also a lot of debris in the river which would be particularly hazardous to small boats. Additionally, the land is wet and likely to be more so by Saturday.

We will now assess our position as regards refunds (which are likely to be a high %) and submitting administrators will be contacted directly.

We know how disappointing this is for all of you wanting to race, as it is for us of course, but please do come and see us in February for Henley Fours and Eights Head.

We all get to race another day 😏

Event Documents & Information will appear here in a timely manner:

Results, - see results page for links to live times

We will publish "live times" via the website during the day (so do bring your smart phone...).

I would stress that these are PROVISIONAL and subject to correction and handicapping may not yet have been done.

Final results will, as ever, be posted following the conclusion of racing on our Results page.

Please be aware that we only have access to regatta land on the day of our event.

Gates open at 7:30 am. Please do NOT arrive before this. This also applies to Leander's Car park which is the property of HRR.

We aim to lock the gates at 4:30 pm latest, so please do aim to leave site in good time...

Car Parking

There is a £10 car park charge - please do bring cash for this (towing vehicles and minibuses are exempt). All vehicles are parked at the owner's own risk. We cannot accept responsibilty for damage or loss of property on site.

Please note that visitors to/competitors at our event are not permitted to erect any gazebos or little tents on HRR land.

Neither should any private BBQs be lit on site. (We do have a refreshment tent.)

Coaches and cyclists please be considerate of all other towpath users. No cycling in the enclosures and be aware that much of our towpath is fenced and narrow.

Please would photographers register their attendance with us in advance of the event. We can happily share a link on our website. We are pleased to see you and hope competitors will enjoy having your pictures available.

We are grateful for the support of the Stewards of Henley Royal Regatta and ask for your cooperation to help us maintain this.
